Insight Craniosacral 1 - Foundations
Insight Craniosacral 1 presents an introduction to Craniosacral work from a trauma-informed perspective, focusing on sensitivity in manual therapy techniques, accurate anatomical understanding and the foundations of trauma-sensitive touch and dialog skills.
Students will demonstrate proficiency in foundational Craniosacral techniques as well as essential communication skills, from a trauma-informed perspective. Students will learn a variation of the classical craniosacral protocol, originally taught by William Sutherland, supported by a communication model inspired by NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and mindfulness practice. In this class, we will study the required anatomy for becoming a skillful Craniosacral practitioner, including cranial anatomy, the reciprocal tension membrane system, cerebrospinal fluid and sacral anatomy.
